A VCHRGD Seven fitted flush to the red-brick wall of a new-build home, wired on its own circuit from the consumer unit. Set up on a smart overnight tariff with load management, so the car charges cheaply without touching the rest of the house.

The brief
A family who had just moved in and wanted charging sorted before the first commute. Neat fixings on new brickwork, no mess, and the smart tariff linked before we left.
The challenge
New-build brickwork shows every mark, so the fixing pattern and cable route had to be millimetre-tidy. The main fuse was standard, so load management was designed in from the start.
What we did

Checked the supply and consumer unit, confirming a dedicated circuit with load management.

Fixed the VCHRGD Seven flush to the brickwork with a clean, level mounting.

Ran the cable on its own circuit from the consumer unit, tested and certified.

Linked the charger to the smart overnight tariff and walked the owners through the app.
