About us
Electrical and renewables,
done properly.
Ridgeway Electrical is an electrical and renewables company in Henley-on-Thames, with over 15 years' experience across solar, battery storage, EV charging and electrical work.
Fifteen years of wiring the Thames Valley.
We started as electrical contractors and grew into solar, battery storage and EV charging as our customers' homes changed. The work has changed, but the approach hasn't: survey first, a fixed price in writing, and an honest answer even when it's "don't bother".
Much of our patch is period property: lath and plaster, lime render, original joinery. That changes how cable is run, so we plan the route and the reinstatement together before anything is lifted.

How we work
Four rules we don't bend.
- 01
We survey before we quote
A price given over the phone is a guess. We look at the board, the supply and the building first, then put a fixed figure in writing.
- 02
Period property is the norm here
Lath and plaster, lime render and original joinery dictate how cable is run. We plan the route and the reinstatement together.
- 03
Readings, not opinions
Every circuit is tested and the readings recorded. If something fails, you get the number and the reason, not a vague warning.
- 04
One point of contact
The person who surveys the job is the person who runs it. No subcontracted labour, and no handovers halfway through the week.
Where we work
Henley-on-Thames is home. Reading, Twyford, Marlow and Maidenhead are 15–25 minutes away. If a job is beyond our usual patch, we'll say so straight away rather than take it on and let you down.
