10 panel array on a Buckinghamshire new-build
A ten-panel array fitted while the scaffolding was still up, so the roofline stayed clean and the owners moved in generating. All-black panels mounted low-profile on the slate, wired back to the inverter and ready for a battery later.

The brief
A new-build nearing completion, with the owners keen to have solar generating before move-in. The brief was a tidy ten-panel array that suited the slate roof, installed while the scaffolding was still up to keep costs and disruption down.
The challenge
The scaffold came down on a fixed date, so the install had to be sequenced around the other trades still on site. The roof plane also needed a layout that cleared the ridge line and kept every panel off the hip.
What we did

Laid out ten all-black panels to sit clear of the ridge and hip lines on the slate roof.

Installed the mounting system and array in a single visit while the scaffolding was still up.

Wired the system back to the inverter with monitoring commissioned on handover.

Left the system battery-ready, so storage can be added later without reworking the wiring.
